Riverfront ATV Resort (RFAR) is located in Mercer County in West Virginia. Although the mailing address is Bluefield it is actually located close to Bramwell and Bluewell. RFAR is located right on the Bluestone National Scenic River!

This resort is only a few years old and is at the top of the ATV resorts! The road leading into this resort is very narrow (even one lane at places) and could be scary if you're pulling a trailer and come across another vehicle coming the other way. But once you arrive at RFAR the facility and scenery are incedible! The staff are extremely friendly and are very helpful and courteous. This was our first visit to RFAR and this place is awesome!

RFAR has several lodging options; Small, Medium or Large cabins or Deluxe Waterfront RV sites. The cabins, RV sites and entire property are kept clean and well-maintained. The Medium and Large cabins have their own private hot tub on their large decks! There are also fire pits and grills at the cabins and RV parking areas. We stayed in a Medium Cabin and to be honest it was a little small but it had the most comfortable mattress on the queen size bed that we've ever encountered at an ATV Resort. But who spends a lot of time inside when you have such a beautiful location and did we mention a hot tub? Riverfront ATV Resort does provide all linens and towels!

There is a local store with gas and supplies on the main road leading into the Resort and RFAR also has it's own store with lots of supplies and food... And if that isn't enough, RFAR has a great restuarant with a large indoor and outdoor dining area (We very much appreciated being able to order a hot breakfast before our day riding the trails). During the winter months the restuarant is only open Friday-Sunday but is open most days when Spring arrives.

RFAR is located close to the Hatfield McCoy's Pocahantas Trail System and connects to 3 other Hatfield-McCoy Trail Systems (Indian Ridge, Pinnacle Creek and Warrior). The closest Pocahantas Trail is 2 miles down the road but you are allowed to ride your ATV down the road to the trail or the local towns. Once you unload you can ride for days or even a week without loading back up.

In conclusion, Riverfront ATV Resort is at the top of the ATV Resorts and deserves being called a true RESORT. It is a great resort to stay at any time of the year!
